How to manage your profile, password and two-step verification
Update your name, photo and login email, change your password, and choose whether your verification codes arrive by email or in an authenticator app.

In your profile you determine how you appear and which email you sign in with. In the security tab you change your password and how you receive the codes of two-step verification, which is always on to protect your account.
Step 1: Update your profile
In the left navigation panel, click Settings. The Profile tab opens with:
Profile photo: click Upload photo to select one. We recommend dimensions of 200×200 px, up to 5 MB.
Full Name, Email Address and Bio.

Click Save changes.
Important: The email that appears in your profile is the one you sign in with. If you change it, you'll be asked to verify it. From your next sign-in, use the new email with the same password, so make sure you have access to its inbox.
Step 2: Change your password
Open the Security tab. Type your Current password, your New password and confirm it in Confirm password. Click Update password.

Step 3: Know how two-step verification works
Every time you log in, after entering your email address and password, Lety asks for a code. This verification is always enabled and cannot be turned off. You can only choose how you receive the code:
Email (default): a 6-character code arrives in your email every time you sign in.
Authenticator app: you enter a code that you find in an authentication app on your phone. You don't rely on your email.
Step 4: Switch to an authenticator app
In Security, click Switch to authenticator app and confirm your password.
Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy or 1Password. If you can't scan it, type the key shown below the code in your app.
Type the 6-digit code your app shows and click Activate.
Save your recovery codes. Each code is shown only once. Click Copy codes or Download, keep them somewhere safe and click I saved them.
From then on, at sign-in you type the code from your app and no email is sent.
Step 5: Manage your recovery codes or go back to email
Regenerate recovery codes: creates a new set. Your current codes stop working right away.
Switch to email: your codes arrive by email again. Your authenticator app and its recovery codes stop working.
Both ask you to confirm your password. Under the method, you'll see how many recovery codes you have left.
Technical reference
Too many attempts: after 5 wrong codes, you must wait 15 minutes before trying again.
Help from your team: an agency or subaccount Owner or Admin can switch your two-step verification to email. You'll receive an email notifying you when a change is made.
Two-step verification can't be turned off, not even by an administrator. Only the method can be modified.
Same email in several accounts: if your email is in more than one account, for example in your agency and in a client's subaccount, the platform asks which account you want to access when you log in from app.lety.ai.
In a client's subaccount: the subaccount's settings also show the Subaccount name, which only its Owners and Admins can change, and the Subaccount email. That email is linked to the profile email of the subaccount's Owner: to change it, change the email in the Owner's profile.

Open the activation email you received and set your password there. If the page says your password is already set, it worked: go to the login screen and sign in. If you can't find the email, the login screen offers to send a new activation email.
