How to connect your own domain
Put your platform, your agents and your login screen under your own domain: add it, create the CNAME record and check that it's verified.

With your own domain, your platform, your agents' chat and the login screen your team and your subaccounts use live under your brand, for example app.youragency.com, instead of a Lety address. You need an active subscription and access to the DNS settings of your domain.
Before you start
Use a subdomain, like app.youragency.com. It connects with a CNAME record, and your main website can keep working on youragency.com.
Have your DNS provider at hand. It's usually where you bought the domain: GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Hostinger or similar.
Step 1: Enter your domain
In the left menu, click Settings and open the Domain tab. Click Change domain, type your domain in Domain Name and click Save.

Step 2: Add the CNAME record
After you save, Configuration required shows the record you need to create, with its Type (CNAME), Name and Value. Copy them.
In your DNS provider, create a new record with those three values. For app.youragency.com, the name is usually app.
Important: The same name can't have a CNAME and other records at once. If there are A or AAAA records with that name, delete them first and then create the CNAME. Don't change any other record.
Step 3: Wait for the verification
Lety checks the record on its own and updates the page, so you don't need to refresh. It usually is set up after a few minutes, but it can take up to 48 hours. Meanwhile, you'll see one of these states:
Propagation in progress: the record is there and is spreading. Just wait.
CNAME record not found: the record doesn't exist yet. Check that you created it with the values from Step 2.
CNAME points to the wrong host: the record exists, but its value is different. Copy the Value again.
Verification error: it couldn't be checked right now. Try again in a few minutes with Verify DNS.
When it's ready, the domain shows Verified and you receive an email that your custom domain is live. The Branded login URL is the address your team and your subaccounts use to log in.

Step 4: Check your domain's status
Under Domain Settings you'll see:
SSL Certificate: the security certificate. It's created and renewed automatically.
DNS Status: the result of the last CNAME check.
Primary Domain: the domain used for all your subaccounts' addresses.

Technical reference
Your Lety address (default) always works: your agency also has its own address, ending in .lety.ai. While your domain is pending or failing, you and your clients can still sign in through it.
Emails and payment links: once the domain is verified, the platform's automated emails and your payment links use your domain.
One record: the connection uses only the CNAME record. Records of type A don't work for this.
Sign in from Lety's main address: you and your team can also sign in at app.lety.ai. With your credentials, the platform redirects you to your account, and if you belong to more than one, it asks which one you want to access.
Your subaccounts: your clients' subaccounts use your agency's primary domain for their addresses. They can't modify the domain.
Common problems
My domain shows my provider's page instead of my platform
My domain shows my provider's page instead of my platform
Your provider has its own record for that name, for example from its website builder or a "connect domain" option. Edit that record so its value is the Value from Lety, and don't turn the provider's website builder back on for that name.

Check that there are no A or AAAA records with the same name, delete them and create the CNAME again. You can check the record in a tool like dnschecker.org: type your domain, choose the CNAME type and look for the value from Lety.

Some providers add your domain at the end of the value without telling you. If the saved value ends in your own domain, edit it and type the value from Lety with a dot at the end.

Open it in a private window, from another network, like your phone's data, or in another browser. If it works there, it's your browser's or your network's cache.

Sign in through your Lety address. In Settings › Domain, click Disconnect at the end of the page, then connect the domain again from Step 1. Until it's verified again, your team and your clients sign in through the Lety address that comes by default.
