How to manage and delete your agents
Find your agents, change their basic details, and delete the ones you no longer need.
Last updated 20 days ago
From the list of your agents you can find any agent, open it to change its basic details, test it, publish or unpublish it, and delete the ones you no longer need.
Step 1: Open your agents
In the left menu, open Agents, then Your Agents. You'll see each agent with its model, its status (Published or Unpublished) and the date it was created.

To find an agent, type part of its name in Search agents.... The list filters as you type. Clear the box to see all your agents again.

Step 2: Use the actions of each agent
Click ⋯ at the end of the agent's row:
Edit: opens the agent to change its configuration.
Test: opens the test chat. See How to test your agent before you publish it.
Unpublish or Publish: turns the agent off or on in its channels. See How to publish or unpublish your agent.
Delete: deletes the agent. See Step 4 before you use it.

Step 3: Change the agent's basic details
Click Edit, or click the agent, and open the Basics tab. You can change the Industry, the Business Type, the Business Name and the Agent Name.

When you change something, the Update button appears. If you change the name, below it you'll see Agent name is available when no other agent in your agency uses it. Click Update to save.

Important: Each configuration tab saves its data independently from others. If you leave the tab without clicking Update, a message warns you and your changes are lost once you definitely leave.
Step 4: Delete an agent
Click ⋯ on the agent's row, then Delete. The agent is deleted right away and a message confirms it.
Important: Delete doesn't ask for confirmation and can't be undone. Check that you're on the right agent before you click it. If you only want to stop it for a while, use Unpublish instead: the agent keeps all its configuration.
When you delete an agent:
It stops answering in all its channels.
Its memory and its knowledge base are deleted.
Its WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook connections and its MCP integrations are disconnected, so you can connect them to another agent.
Technical reference
Unique names: two agents within the same agency can't have the same name, even with different capital letters.
Which agents you see: your agency's list shows the agents of your main account. The agents of each sub-account are managed from inside that sub-account.
Published and unpublished: an unpublished agent doesn't answer in its channels, but you can still test it.
Plan: if the plan stops being active, the agents are turned off. You can still sign in.

Deleting an agent frees its numbers and pages. If the number still shows as connected, contact support with the number and the name of the deleted agent. When you connect it again, WhatsApp may ask for the number's two-step verification PIN. If you don't remember it, you can reset it in your Meta Business Manager.
